At the heart of the New York design movement of the early 2000s, Dumbo Brooklyn was the place. I was completing a PhD in Literature and working at a high-end design+build studio. The shop’s pull was stronger, and after earning my doctorate, I decided to dedicate myself wholeheartedly to my own furniture designs.

This was it! But New York wasn’t the right place for our plans. My family and I moved to Argentina where we built a natural construction solar house in the mountains. Here I established my current studio and began the first prototypes of the Quilpo Leather Sling Chair…
